Description
An annual autumn festival at the Okunitama Shrine. Quality chestnuts were harvested in Musashino area, and were presented to the shogun general's family during the Edo period. The season also coincided with the time of the year for sacred Kagura dance, and the festival became known as the Chestnut (kuri) Festival.
