Description
This is the regular Grand festival of the Hanazono Shrine, the protector of the Shinjuku area since before the Edo period. Two mikoshi (portable shrines) are led by a large float as they parade from the shrine out along the streets of Yasuku-dori, Shinjuku-dori, and Meiji-dori.
