Description
Accompanied by the sounds of kagura (sacred music), two vigorous mikoshi (portable shrine) and a powerful procession of Akasaka-yakko—a traditional artform carried on by local young men—stomp their way through the whole town. After the two mikoshi ceremonially parade the sea on fishing boats, they are carried up the steps of the shrine at full speed.
