Description
This is a festival to commemorate Ono no Komachi, a famous poet from the Heian Era. Seven "Miss Komachi" girls chosen from the township, make offerings of Waka poems, dressed in traditional garments. There are many attractions such as the offering of Komachi drum performances, scattering of mochi amongst the festival goers, infant parades and more Komachi dances.
