Description
Odate Daimonji dances and parades by local elementary school students are held during the day. The festival moves to the riverbanks of Nagakigawa at night where fireworks are lit and lanterns are set afloat on the river. The Daimonji (large "dai" character engraved on the hillside) on Houo mountain is lit-up as well.
