Description
In hopes of receiving good favor from the deified soul of Michizane Sugawara (scholar and minister), this festival is also a time to give thanks for rich harvest. Five hundred parashioners dressed in traditional white attire from the Heian period form a procession and perform services such as "Yamato-mai" and "Take-no-hayashi".
