Description
This is a unique and humorous festival. Every year, men representing different boroughs of the town take turns in preparing giant Kagami Mochi (Pounded rice used as offerings) that reach 1.2m in diameter. As the person in charge stacks their Kagami mochi, the other parishioners brand their work with insults while the head Shinto master mediates.
