Description
The Mikoshi Buri, the section of the parade where the portable shrines are turned on their side back and forth until nearly touching the ground, is the most popular part of this festival. Cucumbers wrapped in paper are made as offerings, which derives from the shape of the shrine emblem resembling a round slice of cut cucumber.
