Description
The Saito Goma ceremonial ritual is held for En-no-gyoja, the founder of the Shogoin Temple, on the day that he passed away, and over 100 Buddhist monks attend. It is open for the general public, where people can receive specially blessed wooden bills that are said to bring good fortune for academic achievement, a strong and healthy body and safety within the household.
