Description
All visitors welcome! The two-day long largest festival of Noboribetsu is filled with events such as Wadaiko drum performances. Gokuraku street becomes swept away in excitement at night, as Oni (demon) Mikoshi floats fiercely parade, as well as the mechanical Enma (or Yama in Sanskrit; god of death) Dashi floats and Oni-odori dances are performed. Furthermore, gorgeous fireworks are lit in Jigoku (hell) valley, marking the highlight of the festival. Please try to visit using public transportation.
